"Bronwyn Richards and Sue Cooke commenced their association
with our school as parents many years ago. They have been
serving our school community in their role as canteen managers
for over sixteen years. They always provide "service with
a smile" and are constantly seeking ways to improve and enhance
the canteen menu to encourage and support healthy eating habits,
whilst providing a variety of enjoyable food and drink items.
"Bronwyn and Sue are constantly keeping abreast of changes
to canteen requirements and guidelines, including the introduction
of a healthy eating menu with easy to follow coding green
- eat anytime and amber - eat sometimes foods.
Healthier alternatives which have been introduced to the menu
over the last few years include frozen fruit pieces and juice
sticks, vegetarian fried rice and lasagne, carrot sticks,
biscuits and cheese, just to name a few.
"Bronwyn and Sue show great care and compassion for
students with their nurturing and caring ways. Student wellbeing
is their number one priority. They also take good care of
staff and other members of the school community by offering
delicious, healthy lunches at very reasonable prices.
"Bronwyn and Sue are dedicated and hardworking and nothing
is ever too much trouble. They often work outside of their
regular hours and volunteer their time to support the school
community. They approach their work with a 'can do' attitude.
"Our canteen ladies, as they are affectionately
referred to by the school community, have over the decades
won over the hearts of generations of students through their
gentle and genuine care.
"On behalf of the school community, I acknowledge and
applaud the great work that Bronwyn and Sue do and congratulate
them on all their achievements."
