"Marija has been at the college since it opened 15 years
ago. She started at the school on a volunteer basis catering
to about 50 students. When the school canteen opened, she
did most of the cooking from her home and brought the foods
to sell. She hasn't stopped working in the canteen since then.
Marija has dedicated her free hours to help out in the canteen
in preparing food to sell as well as serving at counter during
rush hour.
We get occasional volunteers from the parent community and
sometimes when we don't, these two ladies - Marija and the
Canteen Manager, Isabell Ippolito - soldier on and even though
they're stretched to the limits work wise they still manage
to give everyone they serve a friendly smile."
