"Sue has been our dietary angel. Our canteen is a hive
of nutriential business. She has transformed our 'adequate'
canteen to one of homemade healthy delights.
The students make full use of the 'trade' program, where
they can trade an unhealthy snack for a healthy one. At the
end of the day they collect their unhealthy snack and take
it home to their parents explaining the rade they made.
Our canteen is also open after school (and heavily used)
to feed the hungry flock but also to model to parents possible
healthy after school snacks.
Sue is also a part of our 'Program for Students with Disabilities',
encourages students learning about nutrition through a 'hands-on'
kinesthetic approach. Sue also provides nutritious, take-home,
family meals for staff on meeting nights and high-stress 'times'."
