"Dot/Dorrie Davidson is our most amazing volunteer. Every
Friday she arrives with a smile on her face and a plastic
bag full of our weekly veggies. Dot arrives very early and
helps out our before school program 'Oshcare' by doing the
dishes.
"Then her day begins in earnest. Dot helps set up then
organises all the tubs, after which she makes all the sandwiches,
salads and jaffles and makes up the chicken burgers.
"Dot helps to put the hot dogs together then does dishes
and wipes out the pie warmers.
"What a wonderful volunteer especially since Dot has
not had grandchildren here for two years now. Dot also volunteers
at her grandchildren's high school canteen. Dot has volunteered
at our school for approximately 5 years to date.
"Dot is a very lovely person who NEVER asks us for anything.
She just arrives every Friday and in her words 'I just do
my bit'. Dot's bit makes my life as Canteen Manager so much
easier as I have time then to teach our new parents and deal
with the interruptions that occur and most importantly get
the children their lunch on time. Fridays are our busiest
days."
